COMPANY HISTORY The creator of the recipes "LES ECUREUILS", Jacques FOURNET, began to product his cakes and madeleines in Preignac, in the Landes - a place with many squirrels - and that's why his company took the name "ECUREUILS" (squirrel in French).
At the beginning of the 50's, he moved his company in Béziers, close to the Canal du Midi, to set up finally Paul HEROULT street, in the Capistol's industrial area, in the 60's. As the success of his tasty madeleines et cakes was growing, he created an additional factory in Grasse, in Provence, to expand his production. Then, in early 2007, Christophe CHAMBON - actual manager - decided to take back the company and give back the letters of nobility to these products so appreciated in the past : by applying the modern techniques of marketing and the rigorous controls in quality, associated to the protection of this traditional savoir faire, it makes no doubt that our cakes and madeleines are promoted to a beautiful future ! You'll find below several pictures of the former factory. |
